The basics

How

Your Orders → Return Items next to the item. Free drop-off at 8,000+ locations for most items, often with no box or label.

Refund timing

Amazon can take up to 30 days to receive and process a return; your bank may add more time.

Fees

• Late drop-off: 20% of the item price for the first 30 days after the return-by date, 100% after that.
• Returned damaged, used, missing parts or tags: up to 50% of the item price (100% for Amazon Luxury).
• You may also pay for non-free shipping options, heavy/bulky items, or an unusually high return rate.

Can't be returned

• Items marked Final Sale (including trading card games and Haul items $3 and under)
• Customized items and some health/safety or shipping-restricted products
• Amazon Pharmacy items

The catch

• Items shipped by third-party sellers go back to the seller, not Amazon.
• Check the product page before buying. Return eligibility is listed there.
• Don't mix items from different orders in one return.
